The fundamentals of internet marketing are the thing that should interest you in the first place (obviously, since you need to start somewhere, it would be recommended to start with the beginning). You will soon learn that several internet-marketing tools are paid and some of them are free.

Finally, most of those tools will become cheaper based on your power to understand and create them yourself. While at the beginning everything will seem hard to learn or simply rather unreachable if you get over that point, things will fall into their places and it will be a lot easier for you to promote your business in the online world.

Now, we are certain about a thing – internet marketing is a big industry. Moreover, just like in any other industry in order for you to make money, you have to learn the techniques preached by other internet marketers. A small series of examples of what you need to know about internet marketing:

- cents How to Choose the Right Topic or Niche to Promote – Internet marketing is not only about promoting companies, but about promoting different niches, depending on your needs. You need to find out which is the right topic to promote (or the right niche)
- cents How to understand and get to know your audience – Obviously, it is nearly impossible to get to know all your audience, but you have to understand that only some people will be actually interested in what you have to say. Therefore, understanding the needs of your audience may increase the number of people that are a part of that audience.
- cents Choosing the right keywords – This part goes hand in hand with promoting the right topic.
- cents How to write articles – Writing articles may seem a simple thing to do, however, you have to understand that you have to be clear, thorough, and simple – all at the same time. Not to mention different SEO ideas that have to be implemented, and so on.

Many business owners who opt to try email marketing make the mistake of believing any type of email marketing is beneficial. This is simply not true; there are a number of mistakes business owners can make when they organize an email marketing campaign. Examples of these types of mistakes may include allowing promotional materials to be tagged as spam, not following up with promotional emails, not being prepared for an influx of customers after an email marketing effort and not marketing specifically to the target audience.

We will begin our discussion on email marketing mistakes with spam. Spam is a problem which is reaching endemic proportions. Each day Internet users are bombarded with spam from around the world. This may include a host of unsolicited emails which are promoting products or services the recipients may or may not be interested in purchasing. A critical mistake business owners can make in email marketing is to issue emails which are likely to be construed to be spam. This may result in the emails never reaching the recipient or the emails being deleted, without being read, by the recipient. Avoiding the potential of falling into the spam category is not very difficult. It basically involves ensuring your promotional emails contain more useful copy than blatant advertising. This will make it more likely for your emails to be taken seriously.

Another email marketing mistake often made is failure to follow up on promotional emails. Sending out emails to interested parties can be very beneficial but it is even more beneficial to contact these email recipients by other methods such as mail or telephone to answer any questions they may have and offer any additional information they may require. This type of follow up can be much more effective than simply sending an email and allowing it to fall into the abyss of an overcrowded email inbox.

Business owners may also run into the mistake of not preparing themselves for an influx of customers after an email marketing effort. The express purpose of email marketing is to generate increased interest in your products or services. Therefore it is critical for business owners to anticipate an increase in business and be prepared to accommodate this increased demand for products and services. This is important because potential customers who have to wait for products or services may seek out your competitors who are better prepared to provide them with products or services immediately.

Finally a critical mistake made by business owners is to not tailor an email marketing campaign to their specific target audience. This can be a problem because it may result in the email marketing being less effective. Business owners typically make this mistake because they fall into the trap of believing that it is more important to reach a large audience than it is to reach a target audience. You may blindly send your email marketing materials to millions of recipients and only generate a few leads. However, you could send the same email marketing materials to a smaller group of only a thousand recipients who all have an interest in your products and services and will likely generate more leads from this smaller email distribution list. It is not only important to send your message to members of your target audience but to also tailor your message to suit this audience. Creating an email message which will appeal to a variety of individuals is not as important as creating a message which will appeal to members of your target audience.

You will need an autoresponder system to market with email We reccomend www.Automatic-Responder.com for sending your email.

Is Mobile Monopoly And Mobile Marketing The Next Big Trend?

Every once in a while, a real estate agent will email me with some form of this question: “Do real estate postcards still work?” Because they use the word “still,” I have to assume they feel real estate postcard marketing was more effective in the past than it is today. I usually respond in a way that is cryptic at first but makes sense eventually.

I tell them that bad real estate postcards don’t work today, and they didn’t work ten years ago. But good real estate postcards work as well today as they always have. You see, the medium itself hasn’t become any less effective over the years … just the people behind the medium. Many real estate agents have not adjusted their postcard marketing approach to keep up with the times. Trust me on this one — I worked in the real estate postcard industry.

Real Estate Postcards Today

While the real estate postcard medium has not really changed, the strategies behind the medium have changed a lot. Sure, you can “still” use real estate postcards to help you grow your business, even in this modern age of web communication. I know agents who generate a lot of business on a regular basis, mostly through the use of real estate postcards. But you have to go about things differently than a postcard marketer from ten years ago.

Postcard Marketing Needs an Offer

To achieve success with real estate postcard marketing, you have to boost the incentive on your real estate postcards. “Call me for a free consultation” does not cut it anymore. You need to give people a good reason to contact you, or to respond in whatever way you seek. Actually, this is true of all marketing … not just real estate postcards. In marketing terms, this is known as the offer. And you have to offer something on your real estate postcards in order to generate a response.

You have to motivate your readers toward action. Because if you fail to motivate them toward action, the laws of physics will take over. A body at rest will remain at rest until some force is imposed on it.

Real Estate Postcards and the Web

Real estate postcard marketing has also changed because of the Internet. The agents who do best with real estate postcard marketing know how to incorporate their websites and/or blogs into their postcard marketing strategy. They realize that modern consumers are inclined to learn more about things online, so they focus on that.

These savvy agents create high-value websites with plenty of useful (and interesting) resources, and they point people to the website with their real estate postcards. They motivate them toward action. And then, if they’ve built some form of lead capture into their website, they have a steady stream of inquiries that can become clients some day.

So in this regard, yes, real estate postcards work as well as they ever have. You just have to go about it differently than agents did ten years ago. You have to be unique. You have to offer something. And you have to incorporate other marketing channels, like your website.

By the way, If you’d like to know how to do all of these things, refer to the book mentioned below.

Is Mobile Monopoly And Mobile Marketing The Next Big Trend?

Blogging news stories as they unfold is one of the most
exciting and controversial applications of technology
that bloggers have discovered. One thing that makes the
blogosphere so active is the fact that it is possible to
update a blog instantaneously, so the news on blogs
tends to be more current than the news in the paper, or
on television. Unlike news delivered by these other
media, news that appears on blogs does not have to
travel through a series of editors and administrators
before it reaches the public eye. This has some
advantages, and some distinct disadvantages.

One of the most notable cases of news hitting a blog
before appearing in other media took place in July 2005
when terrorism struck London. As passengers were
evacuated from a subway car near an explosion, one
man took several photographs of the scene with his
cellular phone, and within an hour these images were
posted online. First-person accounts of the catastrophe
began appearing on blogs soon after these photos
appeared, and people all over the world learned about
the events in London by reading the words and seeing
the photos posted by bloggers.

The fact that these stories and images were being spread
directly by individuals operating without the added
filter of a reporter helped to make the crisis feel very
immediate to people across the globe. When it comes to
blogging, news often appears in a very personal context.
This has the potential to be the beginning of an exciting
new era of reporting, one that takes “New Journalism”
to it’s logical next step by putting the power to shape
how the news is written and read directly into the hands
of the public.

Many bloggers and cultural commentators who are
champions of the weblog movement feel that this
growing trend of individuals who getting their news
from blogs is a good thing, because it makes the flow of
information more democratic. By decentralizing the
control of news, blogs allow more voices to enter the
field of debate about important current events.
However, many people are adamantly opposed to the
use of blogs as news outlets, and there are plenty of
good arguments on this side of the debate. Unlike
newspapers or television stations, few blogs have fact-
checkers, and there is little attention paid to journalistic
accountability on many blogs. This can lead to the rapid
spread of misinformation, and more than one falsehood
has taken the blogosphere by storm. The questions
about whether blogging news as it happens is ethical or
not are very complicated, but no matter where you stand
on the topic of current events blogs you are almost sure
to agree that this movement has the potential to
revolutionize how modern people get their news.

jail for it. Someone else goes through all of the
trouble to develop software programs, service, or
digital content products. They’ll do all the work
then you collect the money!

Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing arrangement
between the product developer, known as the affiliate
merchant, and the affiliate marketer who is anyone
that’s willing to promote the sale of product by
advertising the product using any type of legal
means available.

The relationship will allow the affiliate merchant
to grow their revenue by paying only for the
advertising that results in a sale. The affiliate
marketer will profit by making a percentage on a
sale that he does not have to manage after the
sale.

Getting paid
Getting paid all depends upon how the affiliate
program is set up. Some merchants will run their
own affiliate program. They’ll have special types
of software that assigns each affiliate marketer
a special link that’s used in promoting the product.
The software will track sales of every marketer
and the merchant will pay the commission on a
periodic basis using either PayPal or another
method of payment.

Selecting products or services
Your income is directly tied to how well your
selected product or service sells, and the size of
the commission you earn, which makes it very
important that you choose carefully when it comes
to choosing the affiliate merchant you’ll be
partnering with.

Choose programs that you aren’t embarrassed to
promote and programs that you’ll feel comfortable
recommending to your family and friends if they
were to ask you about it.

You’ll do much better if you promote products
that you fully understand and are already familiar
with. This way, you’ll be able to write better
ads without having to strain yourself coming up
with the right things to say.

You should only promote products and services for
companies who have gone through the trouble to
provide you with training programs and sales aids
such as banners and other marketing materials that
you can either use directly or model the one you
own after.

Be on the lookout for programs with commission
rates no less than 50%. You should give preference
to programs that pay commission on multiple levels,
which means you’ll also have to earn commissions
on sales made by people who buy the products
through your link then go on and become affiliates
themselves later on.

Is Mobile Monopoly And Mobile Marketing The Next Big Trend?

Heavy-hitters earn lots of money in network marketing. Why? Because they have colossal organizations brimming with talent and energy. If you are like most, you want to be just like them (you know, riding horses on the beach in Puerto Vallarta while the super-leverage of your enormous team continues to pump in big checks whether you work or play).

Obviously, anyone who has created a situation like the one above deserves a little bit of consideration when you are deciding to join a network marketing company. But, here’s the dilemma: if these Richy Riches are always off jet-setting and mingling with other top leaders in the company, why would they pay any attention to little old you? How do you know you won’t just end falling through the cracks? Wouldn’t it be better to join with someone who is always available to personally mentor you (even if they only earn $4K or so a month?).

Well, I am not going to answer the question posed in this article, “Should You Join with a Heavy-Hitter?” However, here are three things to consider:

1. Hearing 10-minutes of personalized instruction from a 7-Figure earner is more valuable than hours with a newbie.

2. Most Heavy-Hitters have personal assistants who take very good care of the remedial, “learning-curve” type issues of getting your business going. However, once you prove yourself in even the slightest way, you can often secure more privatized time with the heavy-hitter. Another little secret is that a true heavy-hitter usually has unusually copious amount of time freedom, and gets a kick out of investing some of that time in the raising up of grassroots leaders.

3. Rarely does a person in network marketing outperform their sponsor (don’t ask me to explain why). Thus, if that usually holds true, why consider joining under anybody who is not a major player in network marketing?

To close, I have one last addition to number three, although it is “usually true” that people rarely outperform their sponsor, it is “sometimes true.” And I would go so far as to say that every “heavy-hitter” I know outperformed their sponsor. Thus, maybe the whole question to ask yourself is better positioned like this, “What will it take for Me to become a Heavy-Hitter in MLM?” A lazer-like focus in that direction will yield you the biggest results. See you at the top.

Is Mobile Monopoly And Mobile Marketing The Next Big Trend?

Small business owners can have a hard time finding the right ways to market their product or service. There are plenty of right ways to do things, and plenty of wrong ways. Here is a brief overview of some of the mistakes to avoid when marketing your small business:

Mistake #1: Not researching your product need
Many people have a wonderful idea of a product that is needed in the market, and then spend all their money to create it. You need to research the market first to make sure there isn’t already a similar product out there, and whether there is even a need for your product.

Conduct market research, hold focus groups and only make a small run of your product – a few hundred or so – to test your target market with. This can save you a lot of money and heartache in the long run.

Mistake #2: Thinking that the product will market itself
Many small business owners think their product is so great that they don’t need to do any marketing at all – people will flock to you. That’s just not true, and I can’t think of one example of where it was true. Everyone thinks it’s because the “right product” just hasn’t been invented yet, but unfortunately, that’s not the case. It just won’t work that way. How can people flock to something they’ve never heard of?

You must consistently market your product, which means you need to create a marketing plan. You must define your target market, your unique selling point that distinguishes you from your competition; you must develop a marketing action plan and decide on a marketing budget. These are just the bare-bones basics of a marketing plan. You need some kind of plan to be successful. If you don’t know how to create a marketing plan, just Google “marketing plan” or “marketing agency” – many agencies are hired to just create marketing plans.

Mistake #3: Preparing and then not taking action
Many business owners have a fear of failing. Actually, who doesn’t have this fear? But instead of trying to prevent it, you need to follow your marketing plan (see Mistake #2) and forge ahead. It’s hard at first, no one will tell you it’s not, but you have to sell one product in order to sell a million. If you fail, evaluate what went wrong, try to fix it and try again. Repeat as needed!

Mistake #4: Constantly changing your marketing campaign
It happens a lot – the business owner and employees see their marketing materials every day and get tired of them. The same old poster printing images, the same old brochure copy…who wants to see that after six months of it being around? Your potential customers do, that’s who.
Just because you’ve seen your logo a million times, doesn’t mean everyone has. If your marketing campaign is working just fine, don’t change it for the sake of change. A million people haven’t seen your logo at all. Don’t change your marketing campaign until it stops bringing in customers.

Mistake #5: Don’t play monkey-see, monkey-do with your competitors
You should know what your competitors are doing, but you shouldn’t copy it just because it works for them.

If a competitor is known as a “low price leader,” don’t try to beat him out of that title – choose another like “high quality leader.” Find an important quality that your competitors aren’t giving to your shared target.
